I’ve always had quite sensitive skin, so I was excited to discover Bulldog’s range of sensitive skincare products and get the opportunity to test them all out for you guys!
If you didn’t already know, Bulldog products are made in the UK, they never contain artificial colours, synthetic fragrances or ingredients from animal sources and they are cruelty free! All of the Bulldog sensitive products contain 3 main ingredients:
- Baobab oil, from Africa, is an excellent natural moisturiser and is one of the few oils which is added in its raw state to cosmetic products.
- Oat has a lot of benefits and uses, such as exfoliating and moisturising the skin, reducing itchiness, dryness and irritation, and can tackle oily skin and is even used to treat acne and eczema and it also smells good too!
- Willowherb Extract is famous for its ability to reduce skin irritation… fast!
Firstly I tried the face wash, which left my skin feeling great! My face looked and felt clean and fresh, and I didn’t experience any irritation, sensitivity or dryness!
I found the Bulldog sensitive moisturiser to be rich and thick, without feeling heavy on the skin and was easily absorbed and didn’t aggravated my face in any way. Personally, I think this product would be perfect if it just had SPF protection. Bulldog do sell a protective moisturiser with SPF15, but I like a higher SPF than that, so I had to mix the Bulldog moisturiser with my body shop skin defence SPF 50 cream.
Finally, I used the sensitive shave gel to tidy the edges of my beard and I found I only needed a small amount as I wasn’t doing an all over, close shave, but a little goes a long way and I was able to work the product into a lather, before using the jack black safety razor. The shave gel definitely helped the blade glide smoothly and comfortably and helped reduce redness and sensitivity.
